It seems Jesus was talking about the Darnel weed, which bears a close resemblance to wheat until the ear appears.

Receiving Jesus

"Where words are many, sin is not absent." The words of Solomon echo in the air when Jesus confronts the Pharisee's opposition to his teaching. At this point in the ministry of Jesus, there is both a growing rejection of Jesus by the people, and a growing condemnation from Jesus towards "This Generation" and "This People."
Jesus references Jonah, the Men of Ninevah, the Queen of the South, and a brood of vipers while redefining what a family really is. Geoff reveals our human nature through this story, and how we tend to want Jesus on our own terms.
Geoff also provides context to why Jesus spoke of the unclean spirit cast out of a man, who later returns to his former residence.
