Kingdoms in Conflict
Matthew 12:22-29
Through the bible, we read about things our eyes cannot see, a spiritual realm with spiritual beings. Satan shows up, as do angels and demons, without much detail or background. This realm affects us personally, all the time. Pastor Geoff takes us through some of these stories including King Saul's torment, the "Prince of Persia," the temptation of Jesus, and focusing on two specific encounters between demons and Jesus.
Pastor Geoff Unrau

I am the Gate
Matthew 7:12-29
All of life concentrates on man at the crossroads, yet there's one choice that stands above all other choices that determines our ultimate destiny. Jesus is always giving us 2 choices. There's 2 gates (wide and narrow), 2 destinies (life or destruction), 2 paths, 2 crowds (many or few), 2 trees, 2 builders, 2 houses, 2 behaviours, etc. and Jesus calls us to enter through that narrow gate.
Pastor Geoff Unrau

Pray, Pray, Pray!
Matthew 7:7-11
Jesus taught us not to pray like the hypocrites, but gave us a blueprint (The Lord's Prayer) built on what he has been teaching through the Sermon on the Mount. Ask, Seek, Knock... Jesus is giving us a fuller picture of what prayer looks like, and together they call us towards a life of dependance on the father.
Pastor Dan Paschke

You are not the Judge
Matthew 7:1-6
Some of Jesus's most famous quotes can be found in these passages, most notably "Judge not lest you be judged." This quote is loved in today's age, but it is worth understanding what Jesus is not saying. Discernment of what is good and evil is essential for us to follow God.
Pastor Geoff Unrau

Trusting in your Heavenly Father
Matthew 6:25-34
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet Jesus tells us that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Instead, we should seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to us.
Pastor Geoff Unrau

When the Compass Shifts

Dan goes into his love of collections, including sports cards, and the joy of completing a whole set. Jesus teaches us that where our treasure is, so is our heart also. Dan dives into this teaching, his love for sports cards, and the reality of how, consciously or unconsciously, our heart is our compass.
Pastor Dan Paschke

Your Father in Heaven Sees
Matthew 6:1-18
How would you describe a hypocrite in your mind? For most of us, we would say it was someone who said one thing, but did the opposite thing. Jesus would take this concept further: To say something, yet do that thing with an alternative motive. Geoff dives into the difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.
Pastor Geoff Unrau

A Greater Richeousness
Matthew 5:21-48
Jesus said, "Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and the pharisees, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Anger, Lust, Divorce, Oaths, Retaliation, and more from this section of the Sermon on the Mount,

Similar to our call display on our phones, do we screen the call, or do we answer the call?
